Community Activities

On 13th December 13, 2024, Honour Lane Hong Kong participated in a fire drill and firefighting lecture at the invitation of the property management company. When the fire alarm bell rang that afternoon, colleagues followed the instructions in an orderly manner and went to the designated gathering point from the designated escape channel, at the same time; we participated in a fire protection lecture hosted by a serving firefighter of the Hong Kong Fire Department. The speaker introduced the handling methods of office fires and the types and usage of fire extinguishers, so that colleagues could learn more about fire safety knowledge and how to respond when facing a fire.

 On 26th November, 2024, Honour Lane Hong Kong Head Office invited occupational therapists and nurses from Tsuen Wan District Health Center to visit our office to give a lecture on hand health and conduct a simple physical examination for colleagues. During the lecture, the lecturer mentioned common hand strain problems in daily work or life, their causes, and prevention and treatment methods.

In addition, simple physical examinations were conducted for colleagues present and certain suggestions were made based on their daily habits, which greatly increased colleagues' attention to personal health.

The Mid-Autumn Festival always reminds people of the full moon and family reunions. However, many elderly individuals in our society live alone and are not accompanied by their families for various reasons. Additionally, there are families who have never been able to celebrate the festival in a rich and complete way due to a lack of resources.

This year, the HLS Hong Kong head office once again joined hands with the local non-profit organization "A Drop of Life" and community service agencies to reach out to the community. They distributed lucky bags to elderly individuals living alone or in pairs, low-income families, and people with special needs, hoping to convey warmth and blessings during the festival.

On 9th September, the Honour Lane Shipping Limited Hong Kong head office and its offices in Malaysia, Singapore, Shenzhen, and Zhongshan jointly held a seminar on the topic of personal data privacy. This time, we invited an officer from the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data of Hong Kong to provide a general introduction to the ordinance, the six data protection principles, direct marketing, offenses and compensation related to the privacy ordinance, as well as other relevant information and cases during the seminar.

Through this seminar, colleagues significantly improved their understanding of the personal data privacy ordinance and will pay more attention to protecting the privacy of individuals and customer data in their future work.

5 September is the International Day of Charity. In order to carry forward the spirit of philanthropy, the Ningbo branch organized a charity donation event called “Love in Action” from 1 September to 9 September. This event collected various school supplies, books, and daily necessities from employees. All the donations were given to the Ningbo Charity Shop to support children from low-income families and care for children with special needs. This event gathered everyone’s love, provided material support and emotional encouragement for underprivileged and exceptional children, and advocated for the conveyance of love. Each donation represents love, and each action brings warmth.

On 29th August, the Honour Lane Cambodia office visited the Kantha Bopha Foundation office to donate USD 1,000 to support the sustainability of the hospitals and their operations. The Cambodia Kantha Bopha Foundation is the official foundation established by the Royal Government of Cambodia under the leadership of Samdech Techo Prime Minister to ensure the sustainability of the Kantha Bopha Hospitals in providing free and quality healthcare services to children in Cambodia without discrimination. Since its launch in 2018, the foundation has treated and saved millions of children’s lives in Cambodia.
We hope that these donations will allow the hospital to continue helping more children in need and contribute our love and care to our community.

  On 17 July 2024, Honour Lane Shipping Indonesia Office sponsored a traditional mass circumcision activity. In Indonesia, circumcision is a process that is generally carried out when boys are between the ages of 6 and 10 years old, or when they enter primary school. A total of 12 children participated in the free mass circumcision organized by Yayasan Mambaul Ula together with Honour Lane Shipping Indonesia Office. The mass circumcision targeted children from underprivileged families and orphans. In addition to the free circumcision, the children received clothes and school stationery One of the parents of the circumcision participants was grateful to have been helped by this activity. Hopefully this mass circumcision can be felt widely and sustainably by the community. We also hope that this activity can bring the community to a better quality of life and become a form of real contribution Honor Lane Shipping in an effort to support a healthy generation.

As a traditional Chinese festival, the Dragon Boat Festival has a pivotal significance in traditional culture. On June 2, the Dalian branch went to the local Nursing Home to conduct condolences. In addition to sending fresh fruits, they also wear perfume pouches and colorful ropes on the elderly peoples. In the traditional sense, this not only has the effect of repelling mosquitoes, and also has the beautiful meaning of praying for health, we hope the elderly can feel the care from the outside world.

In the International Children's Day on June 1, Tianjin branch employees went to Tianjin Children's Welfare Institute to carry out the theme of "Caring for Children, Warming You and Me", and donated 40 summer quilts to welfare Institute.
The day of the event was the "Happy Childhood with Love Growth" open day. We went to the welfare institute to playing with children, and experience the joy of the festival. At the same time, under the guidance of the tour guide, we visited the children's learning and living environment area, interacted with the children at close range, visited historical exhibitions and watched the children's prepared performances.
Everyone was very enthusiastic about this condolence activity. After the event, we expressed that we will continue to care about the healthy growth of orphans and disabled children in the future, bring happiness and warmth to the children, and transmit positive energy.
